The road into Launch Pad

What people already owned before they bought Launch Pad, by season. Cohorts are built from Kit “… – Customer” tags; purchases come from Segmetrics orders dated before that season's early-bird cart opened.

01

Are buyers arriving warm or cold?

Share of each Launch Pad cohort that had already bought something from Copy Posse. The rest bought Launch Pad as their first ever purchase.

Bought before First purchase was Launch Pad

02

Which products feed Launch Pad, and is that shifting?

Each gauge fills to the share of that season's cohort who had bought the product. Rows are ordered by total reach across all six seasons. A dot marks the price tier.

03

Season detail

Ranked feeders for one season. Rows marked rolled combine several raw product-name variants — tap to see what went in.

04

Which freebies did Launch Pad buyers opt into?

Read the flags before the numbers. Kit tags carry no usable date filter, so these are lifetime tags — some were applied after the person bought. Where a tag was created after a season's cart opened it could not have influenced that purchase at all, and the row is marked. Cohorts here are buyers (S6 n=161, S7 n=99), not the tag cohorts used above.

05

Where Launch Pad buyers are, versus the list

Index compares each country's share of S7 buyers against its share of the whole list. 1.0× is par. Bars right of centre over-index, left under-index. Log scale, since the range runs from 0.17× to 11.7×.

Counts are clicks, not people. Segmetrics' contact-level country field is null for 57 of 99 S7 buyers, so this uses click country, which has full coverage but records a person once per country they clicked from. Buyer rows total — read the shares, not the headcounts. Countries with fewer than 3 buyers are statistically thin.

06

How long they were on the list first

Days between joining the Kit list and receiving the CPLPS7 - Customer tag.

Their Kit signup date is the March 2024 Mailchimp import date, not when they actually joined, so their real tenure is unknowable — we only know it exceeds the floor below. The distribution covers only members with a genuine signup date, and therefore understates true tenure.

Everything counted predates the tag

  • Cohort = every contact carrying that season's customer tag, e.g. CPLPS7 - Customer, which is applied at checkout.
  • The cutoff is the day before that season's first sale, so no purchase counted here can post-date the moment the tag was applied.
  • For S6 and S7 this is confirmed twice over: the tag was created in Kit on 30 Oct 2024 and 17 Nov 2025, and both seasons recorded zero sales in the month before their cutoff.
  • S2–S5 tags all carry a created_at of 2024-03-01 from the Mailchimp migration, so their cutoffs rest on first-sale dates alone.

Three different cohort sizes

  • Segmetrics tag counts everyone ever tagged, including people who have since unsubscribed or bounced. Sections 01–03 use it, because the product figures are filtered by the same tag.
  • Kit tag counts active subscribers only, so it runs lower and shrinks over time as people leave the list.
  • Buyers counts paid orders and does not decay. Section 04 uses it. The tag runs larger than buyers because it also catches comps, scholarships, mentors and manual adds.
  • Rolled product rows sum raw name variants, so anyone who bought two variants is counted twice.

What this does not answer

  • This is ever bought before, not the purchase immediately preceding. True sequencing needs per-contact ordering.
  • Free lead magnets and email engagement aren't here — only paid orders.
  • Discounts, shipping, deposits and setup fees are stripped out as non-products.
